Some area schools canceled due to storm damage, power outages

Weather officials receive several reports of damage from Monday night's storm.

In Ottawa County, Oklahoma, Wyandotte Public School officials canceled classes on Tuesday because of storm damage throughout the district. Turkey Ford Elementary School also closed for the day due to no power.

In Delaware County, Oklahoma, the #10 bridge over Grand Lake was closed due to downed power lines. Officials received reports of tree limbs downed in the Grove area and a rolled camper about eight miles east of town.

Grove Schools posted to social media that they were also without power. Around 242 customers were still without power by noon on Tuesday.

In Missouri, around 2,800 customers were without power as of 11:38 am on Tuesday in McDonald County. Schools there also closed for the day.

The Columbus, Kansas area also has damage. Around 79 customers were without power at one point Monday night.
