At the time of her disappearance her parents told Conway Police one of the possible reasons she left was a fear of deportation.
As the search expanded in early March a person in Florida noticed her photo featured on NCMEC @missingkids and contacted authorities.
U.S. Marshals, FBI, and NCMEC helped expand the search along with the Conway Police and Arkansas State Police.
It was January 17, 2023, Conway Police stated, “Tanvi Marupally, left the bus pickup area at the Conway Junior High School and continued walking north on Davis Street.”
