(KOAM) - There's a new addition to the KOAM SkyWatch Weather Team that’s allowing us to go the extra mile to keep you and your family safe during hazardous weather.
Introducing the new SkyWatch Storm Tracker.
The Storm Tracker can go live anywhere, anytime, allowing our team to give you an up-close look at severe weather as it rolls through the area.
Equipped with multiple cameras, you can ride along with the SkyWatch team live on air, online and on the go through our YouTube page and the KOAM+ app.
The Storm Tracker keeps our team in the field connected live to our forecasting systems at the station.
This all-new resource does more than track severe weather. We'll be bringing live, up-to-the-minute reports on flooding, snow, and any other hazard you might face.
Safety is our top priority for our communities and our teams in the field. The Storm Tracker won't be driving into the paths of tornados.
It will track where the weather is, where it's going, and how it affects your day.
“The KOAM team is excited to add the SkyWatch Storm Tracker to our resources, giving another way to bring viewers live weather reports from where severe weather is affecting them,” said Brit Stack, KOAM’s news director.
“This new vehicle is just another testament to our dedication to keeping the Four States safe. Information and video gathered by the SkyWatch team in the field will provide vital information to help keep the community safe through live, tires on the road information about weather hazards.”
