JOPLIN, Mo. — Monday morning tipsters alerted us to police activity at Great Southern Bank, 1232 block S Rangeline.
Capt William Davis of Joplin Police Dept tells us details live from the scene. The bank was robbed shortly after 10 a.m. a white male (pictured) entered the bank and threatened the teller saying he had a weapon.
He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
“No one was injured inside the bank,” Capt Davis tells us.
“The Joplin Police Department is requesting public assistance in identifying this person. Any information could be helpful. Please call 417-623-3131 Ext. 1638 or send us a message here on Facebook. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.” – JPD DETECTIVES
The bank has resumed business as normal for the day.
It was June of 2021 this bank was robbed by a man from the Kansas City area. That same day he robbed a bank in Kansas. He is currently incarcerated we learn.
