Gem City Days draws large crowd

DIAMOND, Mo. - Tradition continues with the 27th Annual Gem City Days in Diamond, Missouri.

A large crowd enjoyed an early morning parade featuring the American Legion, the high school band, football team, cheerleaders and more.

Folks also enjoyed live music, a wide array of vendors and, for the first time, a petting zoo.

The event is designed to bring the Diamond community together for some conveniently-placed fun.

"With it being mostly free, I mean people are paying for their food and their shopping...but, we have an opportunity to bring things to Diamond that some people can't get out to get to, said Event Coordinator Colleen Holland.
