Recipient Adam Morris was flanked by family of Ofc Jake Reed in a photo released by the school.
“I have a couple of long term career goals, but no matter where I end up (city, county, state, or federal), my ultimate goal is to change the negative perception of police with my positive daily interaction… Although this scholarship was formed under devastating circumstances, I know it will serve as a great recollection of how courageous Jake was in his life. Jake is a huge inspiration, and I’m honored to continue his legacy.” — Adam Morris
