CADDO COUNTY, Okla. — More is revealed in court filings regarding missing child, Athena Brownsfield, 4, of Cyril.
Husband and wife, Alysia Adams and Ivon Adams had Athena and her sister, 5, in their care for at least a year.
”On January 12, 2023, Alysia confessed that on December 25, 2022, around midnight that night, Ivon beat [Athena] and held her up by her arms.[Athena] was not moving and her eyes were barely open. He then laid her on the ground and punched her at least three more times in her chest. [Athena] never moved after that.” — PC AFFIDAVIT
Detectives say the fatal injuries occurred at the Adams residence at 225 Nebraska, Cyril. Phone records show Ivon left the residence overnight that night and traveled to Rush Springs.
Alysia stated that Ivon told her he buried her near a fence line that was next to their old residence in Rush Springs.
OSBI agents have yet to locate the remains of Athena. January 12, 2023, a judge felt this information obtained was probable cause to charge and arrest Ivon Adams with:
Murder in the First Degree
Felony Child Neglect

Ivon Adams was arrested in Arizona where he remains in custody, awaiting extradition back to Oklahoma to face charges.
January 17, 2023, Caddo County Prosecutor Jason Hicks filed charges against Alysia Adams:
Felony Child Neglect
