NEOSHO, Mo. – A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle. Neosho police said on Thursday, 21-year-old Joel Shannon was on Business 49 Highway near the intersection of Waldo Hatler Memorial Drive when the incident happened. Shannon later died at a hospital. Police are investigating.

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Pittsburg officials gave an update on the development of the city in Thursday’s State of the City address. Mayor Dawn McNay says 15-hundred new jobs were created in the city in the past five years. She also says $480-Million have been invested in the city over that same period.

PARSONS, Kan. – The Parsons Police Department says it has seen a 94% rate of compliance of the city’s mask mandate, especially when it comes to businesses. Police say they have only issued one business citation, and fewer than two dozen warnings to residents.
