JOPLIN, Mo. – Officials with the Joplin School District say city council’s decision to allow the mask mandate to expire will not impact the school district. The district has its own plan which includes mandating masks on campus in appropriate situations.

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Of the 756 Pittsburg State University students moving into dorms, 15 have tested positive for COVID-19. Those students were moved off campus to isolate.

PICHER, Okla. – Investigators search a site in the former northeastern Oklahoma town of Picher for the remains of Ashley Freeman and Lauria Bible who disappeared in 1999. Investigators were not able to find anything Tuesday.

IOLA, Kan. – Some Iola residents outraged over painted parking spots that said “Trump 2020 and the letters “WP” and “STK.” The letters have been interpreted as meaning “White Power” and “Shoot to Kill.” District took disciplinary action after learning about the painting.
