CRAWFORD COUNTY, Kan. – A wreck South of Franklin, Kansas on Highway 69 results in a car engulfed in flames. It happened on Halloween night overnight just outside the Dirty Mule Restaurant, Bar, and Event center. According to Crawford County deputies, the driver left road, smashed into the Dirty Mule marquee sign and then overturned before catching on fire. Both the Arma and Frontenac fire departments responded to extinguish the flames. The driver was taken to the hospital with injuries.

LEAVENWORTH COUNTY, Kan. – Kansas Highway Patrol investigates a fatal crash involving a school bus. Leavenworth County sheriff’s deputy Corporal Daniel Abramovitz died at the scene. He was driving an unmarked sheriff’s vehicle when he collided with the school bus. A driver… and one student, who suffered minor injuries, were on the bus at the time of the wreck. Abramovitz worked at the sheriff’s office for 26 years. He was set to retire in March.

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – The Economic Security Corporation of Southwest Missouri announced it would be closing off public access to its central office in response to Covid-19 concerns as cases continue to spread throughout Jasper County. The lobby will remain open, but only for picking up documents. Locked drop boxes are available at all locations. Appointments must be scheduled and face masks and social distancing will be observed. These changes will go into effect today.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On the eve of election day, both presidential candidates will continue to focus their efforts on the crucial state of Pennsylvania. Former Vice President Joe Biden will be joined by Lady Gaga in Pittsburg and President Trump plans to hold a rally in Scranton, where Biden spent his childhood.
