WASHINGTON, D.C. – CBS News projects Joe Biden has won Arizona and its 11 Electoral College votes. It comes nine days after Election night…and adds to his victory over President Trump, giving the president-elect 290 Electoral College votes. President Trump has yet to admit defeat but a number of Republican lawmakers say the White House should immediately give president-elect Joe Biden access to top-level intelligence reports. Those reports are a standard part of a presidential transition but must be approved by the General Services Administration.

GROVE, Okla. – Delaware County Oklahoma police say a murder suspect died in police custody Wednesday. According to authorities, 51-year-old Brian Edward Anderson of Disney, Oklahoma died at Grove Hospital after suffering a medical episode in jail. Anderson faced charges of first-degree murder for allegedly injecting a woman with meth and filming her death. His wife, Allie Anderson is also charged with first-degree murder. She remains in custody.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri Governor Mike Parson announces new guidelines for schools in the state when it comes to covid close contacts. Under the new plan, students and faculty who are close contacts of a positive covid-19 case can *remain* in school as long as certain criteria are met. Those criteria include a mask mandate in place in the district, the contact and the positive case both must have been wearing masks properly, and the close contact must not be exhibiting covid symptoms.

PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Pittsburg Community School District is considering a policy change after an increase in teacher quarantines. The district says on November 2nd, 2% percent of staff members were positive for covid-19. Since then, they’ve had 13 more staff members either test positive, or have high-risk exposure all because of community spread. The district is looking at different policies to address the problem.
