CRAWFORD COUNTY, Kan. – A multi-vehicle crash killed an Indiana man driving through Crawford County on Friday. Kansas Highway Patrol says just after 1:00 pm, three vehicles crashed near K-126 highway, just two miles east of Pittsburg. One vehicle was headed north and failed to stop at a stop sign, hitting another vehicle heading east. That vehicle then struck another car going west, killing the driver, Sergio A. Madrigal Arevalo of Logansport, Indiana. Others involved in the crash sustained minor injuries.

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – A state memorial honored fallen firefighters in missouri including one from Jasper County. That service is remembering missouri firefighters who died in the line of duty, including one of our own, Chief J Allyn Reding of Duenweg. 63 year-old Chief Reding died from a heart attack just a few hours after responding to a structure fire. His name will be added to a monument wall commemorating state firefighters.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri health officials say a database extract error inflated the total Covid-19 cases in the state for the past several days. According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior services, it happened during the process of moving all Covid-19 testing and case data to one consolidated system. The agency’s working to resolve the issue and will update its website with the correct number once it is done.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to begin four days of confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett today. She would fill the seat of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died last month. Democrats opposed Barrett’s nomination by President trump, saying whoever wins the November election should make the choice.
