WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today house democrats plan to call on Vice President Mike Pence and President Trump’s cabinet to invoke the 25th amendment to remove him from office. If that doesn’t work, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says democrats will begin impeachment efforts… accusing the president of inciting an insurrection at the capitol.

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Kan. – A young woman is dead after a crash in Crawford County. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened a little after 3:00am yesterday morning north of the intersection of 100th street and U.S. 400 Highway. Authorities say the driver, 25-year-old Savannah Murillo was traveling northbound when she struck a concrete culvert and rolled her vehicle. Murillo was pronounced dead on the scene. First responders removed a trapped passenger from the car. She was taken to Ascension Via Christi to be treated for her injuries. A third passenger declined medical treatment.

PITTSBURG, Kan. – A Pittsburg family is safe after a neighbor spotted smoke billowing from the attic of their home yesterday afternoon. Authorities say that neighbor notified the residents at 107 East 22nd street in Pittsburg and they were able to quickly evacuate. The Pittsburg Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire relatively quickly. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Real estate has made a strong recovery over the last several months after an uncertain time during the spring of 2020. Local realtors experienced a lul in business with Nichole Hamblin at Reece Nichols Sunflower Realty in Pittsburg saying it was a confusing time trying to figure out. Now that we’re several months into the pandemic, things are starting to go back to normal. Record low interest rates have spured buying interest pushing them past sales in 2019.
