Nevada climbs to #4 in state rankings

NEVADA, Mo. – The Nevada boys are continuing their climb up the state rankings.

In the latest MBCA poll released on Friday, the Tigers are up three spots to #4 this week. Nevada is 7-0 this season, including wins over Pittsburg, Joplin and Carthage. The Tigers claimed the Carthage Invitational championship with their win over Joplin on December 14th.

The Nevada girls are also moving up this week’s rankings, climbing one spot to #7. The Carl Junction girls are two spots ahead of them in the class 4 poll at #5. The Mt. Vernon girls are the only other local team to make the rankings this week, sitting at #6 in the class 3 poll.
