Neosho resident dies after a single-vehicle crash
NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Mary Coy, 46, died due to injuries after a single-vehicle crash in Newton County, Missouri.
Authorities say the incident happened on April 8th, 2019, around 5:40 pm on Mink Drive, about three miles south of Neosho.
According to the crash report, a Chevrolet Equinox was heading north when it traveled off the right side of the road and hit a concrete culvert.
Mary Coy, the passenger, died at the scene. The driver, Dale Richardson, 36, of Neosho, was taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin with serious injuries. He was treated and released.
This is the 23rd fatality crash worked by MSHP Troop D in 2019.
