Neosho: No stay at home order, for now

"90% of Neosho is essential..."

NEOSHO, Mo. – There will be no stay at home order for Neosho, at least for now.  Neosho’s city council denied that request during a special meeting, but wanted to make sure the measure could be reintroduced at a later time.

Councilman Tom Workman said, in opposition to the proposal, that 90% of Neosho is essential, and passing a stay at home ordinance wouldn’t do any good.  Mayor Pro Tem Carmin Allen said he wanted to at least talk about the measure to possibly have a plan in place if there were more local Covid-19 cases.

Council members seemed to agree that a stay at home order should come from the governor, not a city government.
