Neosho names its new City Manager
NEOSHO, Mo. — The new City Manager has a familiar face as he’s been serving as the Interim City Manager since the unexpected departure of Leland Butcher.
David Kennedy, who has also been Neosho’s Chief of Police is now officially the new City Manager. Kennedy says he took on the role of Interim City Manager with the intention of returning to his full-time role as Police Chief. Kennedy said he’s happy to continue as a public servant for the community. “It’s mixed feelings, because you know…I’ve been a cop for 27 years, I’ve had a long, very satisfying career in public safety, but I think what this does is it affords me the opportunity to serve our citizens in a different fashion.”
Kennedy says he’s already got a list of projects he wants to look at, including public works infrastructure, and of course, flooding.
