Nena Taylor (Parsons HS) signs to DI Oral Roberts
Taylor was 1st team All-State this season
PARSONS, Kan. — Parsons High School senior Nena Taylor signed her letter of intent on Wednesday to continue her basketball career at the Division I level.
Taylor signed to play for the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles.
“On my visit I loved the environment, I loved the campus, I loved the coaches and the energy that the girls were giving off,” Taylor says, “I just felt like it was the perfect fit for me.”
Taylor had a spectacular senior season for the Vikings, averaging 26 points and nearly 8 rebounds per game. She was a 1st team All-State selection and was selected to play in the SEK All-Star game in March.
She has come a long way since missing her freshman season with a torn ACL.
“After I did hurt myself…I didn’t know if I was going to be able to accomplish what I did,” Taylor adds, “For me to be where I am right now, it means a lot. It made me mentally tough, and that’s something that’s really going to help me.”
