Music festival for local heroes

The Brotherhood of Warriors held their First Annual Community Hero Music Festival in Neosho Saturday.

The Brotherhood of Warriors was just formed back in May as a non-profit organization that helps veterans get back on their feet through various programs.

The Community Hero Music Festival started with a ceremony followed by the retiring of the colors.

The event had a line up of five different bands, and vendors and food trucks were spread out across True North Compound.

“This is really our coming out as an organization to merge with the community and really get our message out there, so we’re really, really excited and we’ve all worked very hard on this,” said Brotherhood of Warriors Director Brodi Pursley.

All of the proceeds raised at the event will go towards supporting veterans’ programs.
