MSSU held event to demonstrate drones use
JOPLIN, Mo. — Missouri Southern State University will be offering an Unmanned Aircraft Systems or drones program starting in the fall of 2020.
Instructors gave a preview of what the courses will look like with a demonstration on how the drones work.
The program will consist of 3 courses, spread out across 3 semesters, that will provide students with an introduction to drones and how to become certified to learning how to construct, design and operate your own system.
“We take as a mantra here, the sky is no limit, because i don’t think i will define where this course goes, I think the students will define where this course goes” said Drone Instructor Brian Jones.
The program will be available for any students enrolled at MSSU.
