JOPLIN, Mo. – Families can get help with the college selection process at an MSSU regional college fair.

Missouri Southern State University hosts its regional college fair Wednesday evening, September 29, 2021. The fair will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the MSSU Young Gymnasium.

MSSU hosts the fair in conjunction with the Missouri Association of College Admission Counseling (MOACAC). The non-profit organization’s mission is to help students and their families through the college selection process. Representatives from Kansas University, the Universities of Missouri, Crowder College and Missouri State University will be present, among many others.

“Students will be able to receive information from many different colleges and find out what opportunities are available to them. It is a great way to start coming to a decision on where they would like to spend the next four years of their lives,” said Abby Bishop, MSSU coordinator of campus visits.

High-school students, especially juniors and seniors, and their parents are encouraged to attend. Students can register for the fair at

MSSU says they will require masks for those in attendance.
