JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – Two are sent to the hospital with serious injuries after their motorcycle hits a deer.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 29 year-old Isaac Freeland of Reeds and 26 year-old Taylor Bass of Reeds were both ejected from their motorcycle after hitting a deer three miles north of Reeds on Gum Road.

The crash happened Sunday night, at 7:45 p.m.

Freeland was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin, and Bass was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Both sustained serious injuries.
