More storm systems on the weekly planner

Bouncing between mild and warm

The updated weekly planner has temperatures bouncing between mild and warm over the next several days while we keep an eye on storm systems lining up. Our first system works in for Wednesday with our best shot for rain and t-storms during the morning hours. Once the front clears out, we’ll watch for a few showers late in the afternoon with the wrap-around moisture behind the front. Before the system leaves us on Thursday, it will try to bring in some more scattered showers for areas to the north of Joplin. We’ll watch for another wave late Friday afternoon and Friday night with another chance for t-storms before we look dry and partly sunny on Saturday. While most of Sunday looks dry, we’ll watch for another wave set to roll on in. While it could bring in a random t-storm late Sunday afternoon, we’ll see better rain and t-storm chances with that wave pick up Sunday night and carry on into Monday. Tuesday looks dry with partly sunny skies. We’ll have highs in the upper 60s for Wednesday and Thursday before we briefly bounce back into the upper 70s on Friday. After another drop into the middle 60s on Saturday, we’ll bounce back into the middle 70s on Sunday before we hold highs in the lower 60s for early next week.
