Monday’s Child: Meet Sara

There are hundreds of Kansas foster children who are waiting to be adopted.

Each Monday, during the KOAM News at Noon, we will spotlight one of those children in the hopes of getting them closer to finding their forever home.

Today, meet 15-year-old Sara.

Her hobbies include drawing, singing, playing violin and swimming. Sara’s passion though, is writing poetry. It makes sense that her favorite class in school is English, or language arts.

Sara is a smart teenager and does well overall in school. Adopt Kansas Kids says she’s also helpful. She hopes someday to be an author or a psychologist. Adopt Kansas says those who know her says she has a good sense of humor and big, caring heart.

The 15-year-old says she wants a family that will allow her to play and listen to music and to whom music is a part of life. She would do best with a family that is patient, understanding and trauma-informed and would offer structure and consistency.

Adopt Kansas says only families living in Kansas are being considered at this time.
