Monday Night Blog: Warming back up, but right back down late this week.
Warming back up
Good Monday night! I hope your weekend was great and you survived the pretty big storms last night. We always have a little bump in severe weather during the fall, so like a mini severe weather season. Thankfully this system is out of here. It is wrapping up across the northern plains and heading away from us.
Take a look at the radar below.
A little chilly tonight and windy. The winds will stick around again on Tuesday with highs in the mid 60s. A cold front drops in late Wednesday and Wednesday night. We could get a few showers but a better shot on Thursday and cold.
This is really going to cool us down as we may struggle to get to 50 for the high. We turn it around and see a nice weekend. We will see a weak way late Sunday, then a little bigger wave late next week. But besides that it isn’t overly active. This years pattern won’t be near as active as what we have had the past year. However, we are going to get a few good systems in each cycle. We are a little over halfway through this first cycle. Make sure you check out the long range forecast below.
Long range forecast through late November:
LONG RANGE FORECAST BASED OFF THE HEADY PATTERN. THIS COVERS NEBRASKA, IOWA, KANSAS, MISSOURI, OKLAHOMA AND ARKANSAS.
Next Week: A cold front late Sunday, but it doesn’t look to have much if any moisture with it. A slow warming trend through the week. We will get a system in here on Friday and Saturday with rain chances. This will also cool us back down early in the week.
November 3rd-9th: A mild start with a few showers on Sunday. Chances for showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mainly dry the rest of the week but cooling down.
November 10th-16th: Temperatures up and down through the week. Rain chances Tuesday and Wednesday, then another system on Friday and Saturday.
November 17th-23rd: A cold first half of the week with rain chances on Monday and Tuesday. Warming up a bit late in the week with our next front and rain chances on Friday.
