MoDoT snow plow rolls onto side on slick Hwy 60

When Missouri Department of Transportation plow drivers say roads are slick and dangerous to drive, they know what they’re talking about.

A snow plow rolled over onto its side early this morning on Route 60 east of Granby. The truck driver was spreading rock salt and was turning south when the plow flipped.

MoDoT officials say the trucks are very top heavy and it was fully loaded with up to 15 tons of salt and aggregate. The driver was hanging from his seatbelt but suffered only minor injuries.

The truck was righted and moved off the road. Later crews cleaned up the spilled load which officials can be reused.
