Missouri Southern headed to third straight NCAA DII National Tournament
The Lions have been selected to play in the national tournament for the 4th time in 6 seasons.
JOPLIN, Mo. – The Missouri Southern Lions are once again headed to the Big Dance.
Missouri Southern has been selected to play in the NCAA Division II National Tournament for the third straight year and the fourth time in six seasons. The Lions are the #5 seed in the Central Region, and will face #4 Northern State in the first round next weekend.

The Lions are currently ranked #22 in the country with a 23-8 overall record. They finished as the MIAA tournament runner-up on Sunday afternoon, falling 78-76 to Northwest Missouri State in the tournament championship game.
Northwest Missouri is the #1 seed and Central Region tournament host. The Bearcats will play Oklahoma Baptist in the first round. If both Missouri Southern and Northwest Missouri win in the first round they will meet in the second round next Sunday in Maryville.
