Missouri man sentenced to four life terms in prison; multiple counts of First-Degree Sodomy
JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – A Jasper County Judge sentenced Daniel Chavez to four life terms in prison on four counts of First-Degree Sodomy.
Court documents show two of Chavez’s life sentences will run consecutively.
In May of 2019, the Jasper County Detective Division began investigating Daniel Chavez. Authorities identified three victims and multiple incidents connecting Chavez to child sex crimes.
The Sheriff’s Office says the crimes took place between 2006 and 2015 within the county.
U.S. Marshals arrested Chavez on October 4th, 2019 on a warrant related to the alleged crimes.
Chavez was originally charged with four counts of child molestation, four counts of statutory sodomy, and two counts of furnishing pornography to a minor at the time of his arrest.
