Miami, Okla city pool closed due to flooding

Update on Weather for Miami, Oklahoma (2:50 p.m.)

City departments just concluded a weather briefing and the City of Miami remains under a Flood Warning at this time. Effective immediately, the City of Miami Municipal Pool will be closed through Wednesday, June 5, 2013 due to flooding. The city encourages residents to continue to practice preparedness and have individual family safety plans in place for any type of severe weather. If you experience issues due to flooding and need assistance with city services such as electric meters pulled, please contact the city at 918-542-6685. Residents are encouraged to register on the city website for emergency email alerts. This can be done by clicking on the red notify me button and entering an email address to subscribe to the alerts.

At this time, the following roads are closed in the City of Miami:
East Veterans Blvd from D Street to Brookhollow Scotty Court D Street N.E. from 12th Place to 18th & E Street (Access streets to D Street N.E. are also closed)
