MIAA women’s basketball moves into week 13

Pittsburg State claims MIAA Touranment title

The push for spots in the tournament starts to heat up as week 13 is on the docket in MIAA women’s basketball.

Upcoming MIAA Previews:
Central Missouri faces LU and LWU
Last Week: 2/5 d. Southwest Baptist 79-67 2/7 d. Missouri Southern 61-48
Upcoming: 2/11 at Lincoln 5:30 p.m. 2/14 vs. Linenwood 1:30 p.m.
Central Missouri will travel to Lincoln before taking on Lindenwood at home. The Jennies are led by Shelby Winkelmann with 15.6 points and Jasmine Thompson with 13.0 points per game. Revonnia Howard averages 12.8 points and 9.2 rebounds and Justina Prairie Chief also adds 12.8 points per contest.

Central Oklahoma begins road trip

Central Oklahoma will open a three game road trip this week with a trip up the Kansas Turnpike. The Bronchos are led by Haley Weather who is averaging 10.3 points and Kylie Mayes with 10.1 points per game. On the glass Olivia Mason is averaging 5.0 rebounds per contest this season.

#9 Emporia State faces awaits Oklahoma schools

Upcoming: 2/12 vs. Northeastern State 5:30 p.m. 2/14 vs. Central Oklahoma 1:30 p.m.
#9 Emporia State will play two straight at home as they face the schools from Oklahoma. The Lady Hornets are led by Kelly Moten who is averaging 14.2 points per game. Merissa Quick is averaging 10.8 points and 6.9 rebounds and Addie Lackie is averaging 10.8 points and 3.5 assists per contest.

#2 Fort Hays State faces top ten battle

Upcoming: 2/14 at #10 Pittsburg State 1:30 p.m.
#2 Fort Hays State puts their 21-game winning streak on the line in a top ten battle. MIAA Athlete of the Week Kate Lehman is averaging 20.2 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. Also in double figures is Chelsea Mason with 12.3 points per contest.

Lincoln faces UCM and SBU

Lincoln will face of with Central Missouri and Southwest Baptist this week. The Blue Tigers are led by Kelsey Williams and Hunter Yoakum with 12.3 points per game. Also in double figures is Kate Frazier with 10.6 points per contest.

Lindenwood at home before hitting the road
