McDonald County students get lesson in heavy equipment operation

ANDERSON, Mo. – Students at McDonald County High School got a lesson in operating heavy equipment – in a safe manner.

Instead of getting behind the wheel of an expensive, and large piece of equipment, the students got to operate a simulator.

It’s the same way that professionals hone their craft before taking it out into the real world.

“This is a great way to show that section of kids and even all kids that you don’t necessarily have to go get a bachelor or you don’t have to have a 4-year degree to make a big impact in the world”., said McDonald County High School Ag director Shawn McAlister.

Nabholz construction brought the simulator to the students.
