The McDonald County, Mo. sheriff’s office says the search for a stolen Porsche ended after an arrest involving a gun in Noel.

A press from the sheriff’s office says deputies located the car stolen 2005 Porsche Cayenne outside of an apartment on 90 highway.

Deputies got permission to search inside the apartment and located the suspect Scott Carter from Anderson, Mo. hiding under a “hide-a-bed” couch. Authorities say when Carter came out from under the couch he brandished a handgun and threatened suicide.

After more than 4 hours of negotiation, authorities used less lethal bean bag rounds and a K9 to subdue Carter and take him into custody.

Carter was taken to the McDonald County Detention Center where he is awaiting official charges.
