McDonald County Schools seek to build shelters for student & public access
MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. – McDonald County Schools seek to pass a $21,000,000 bond to build storm shelters for schools that do not have one.
If passed, the measure will split the funds and build storm shelters for the following schools:
- Anderson Elementary School
- Anderson Middle School
- Noel Elementary School
- Pineville Primary School
- Rocky Comfort Elementary School
- White Rock Elementary School
The school district says the shelters would be dual purposed for both students and the public during inclement weather.
If the community votes to pass the bond, construction could begin as early as this summer, officials say.
