MaxPreps names Joplin’s Davis top male athlete in Missouri

Davis rushed for more than 2,200 yards his senior year for the Eagles.

JOPLIN, Mo. – Joplin High School’s Isaiah Davis has been named the top male athlete in Missouri by MaxPreps.

Davis had a monster senior season for the Eagles, rushing for 2,283 yards and 45 touchdowns. He also caught 19 passes for 220 yards and had 50 tackles on defense, leading Joplin to a runner-up finish in the Missouri Class 6 playoffs.

He has previously earned multiple postseason honors, including being the MaxPreps Missouri Player of the Year and the Gatorade Missouri Player of the Year.

Davis is committed to play at Division I South Dakota State next season.
