Mary Ann Hessman

Mary Ann (Seidl) Hessman, 89 of rural Pittsburg, KS passed away on May 8, 2022. She was born March 14, 1933 in Great Bend, KS the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth (Zeller)Seidl. She attended Kansas Newman in Wichita, KS.
Mary Ann worked at the Dodge City Radio Station until she met the love of her life.
On June 7, 1958 she was united in marriage to Henry Hessman at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral in Dodge City, KS.
Mary Ann enjoyed being a wife and homemaker for her 4 children and especially loved being a Grandma. She loved St. Francis of Assisi because of her passion of rescuing stray animals and providing them with loving homes. She volunteered as well with the Our Lady of Lourdes Altar Society church cleaning crew.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hessman as well as her one brother Louis Seidl, Jr.
Additional survivors include her three daughters; Rosemary Hessman of Pittsburg, KS, Elizabeth (Thomas) Talbot of Fredericksburg, VA, Margaret (Gary) Dulek of Lenexa, KS; a son Michael (Jan) Hessman of Cedar Rapids, IA along with seven grandchildren: Mary Ann and Kristen Talbot, Cara, Liz and Kate Hessman and Katie & Andrew Dulek.
Rosary will be at 10 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Celebrant Father Jerome Spexarth.
Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg.
