Wichita State has accepted the resignation of head basketball coach Gregg Marshall.

WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State University has accepted the resignation of head men’s basketball coach Gregg Marshall, per a release from the school.

Marshall says in part in the release, “This was a difficult decision, but one I feel was necessary for my family, the university and, more importantly, the student-athletes.”

As part of the resignation, the University has agreed to a contract settlement for $7.75 million, which will be paid over a period of six years.
