Man wanted in Monett shooting is arrested
MONETT, Mo. — Authorities have arrested Kyle Gene Huse, 31, of Aurora, in connection to a shooting in Monett.
On August 20th, around 12:30 am, officers responded to shots fired on the 200 block of Frisco Street. They found the victim, a 50-year-old man, and took him to the hospital with serious injuries. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Monett Police Department.
Police released that they were looking for Huse as a person of interest.
On September 8th, a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Huse. The Prosecutor’s Office has filed a charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm against him.
The Monett Police Department says Huse was also arrested on other unrelated charges. Huse is in custody at the Lawrence County Jail.
The victim has been released from the hospital.
More charges could be filed related to the shooting, according to the Monett Police Department.
