Man fatally struck by train in Noel, Mo.

Stopped train is adjacent to the 600 block of Johnson Drive, 1/4 mile within the city limits of Noel, Mo.

UPDATE: The Noel Marshals tell us next-of-kin have been notified. The deceased identified as Ali Abdille, 26, of Noel, Mo. The investigation into the fatal incident continues.

NOEL, Mo. — Sgt Travis Sheppard of the Noel Marshal’s office tells us details of a pedestrian death Tuesday evening near the 600 block of Johnson Drive.

At 2054 hours Noel Marshals office, Noel Fire Dept and Freeman Ambulance were dispatched to a train vs pedestrian incident on the tracks in the city limits of Noel. First unit on scene discovered a deceased male subject on the tracks.”

Sgt Sheppard says the train was able to stop.

Sgt Travis Sheppard spoke to us on scene regarding the incident.

The adult male has been identified as a resident of Noel. He tells us next of kin have been notified but they are withholding the name at this time.

The McDonald County Coroner was summoned to claim the body.

On scene were officials with Kansas City Southern Railroad, Missouri State Highway Patrol and assisting agencies.

The investigation into the incident continues, however foul play is not suspected.

Sgt Shepphard does not believe the tracks are damaged or any rail cars, but officials are inspecting them now.
