Man arrested near Galena after ‘significant amount’ of meth found in his car

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. – A Galena man is facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop Saturday afternoon.

Officials say just after 2:00 a Cherokee County Sheriff’s deputy pulled a car over near the Galena city limits. A K-9 alerted the deputy and the deputy found a significant amount of methamphetamine hidden in the car. The driver was taken to the Cherokee County jail, pending formal charges.
