Award season is in full swing with the Golden Globes in Hollywood tonight, and Oscar announcements due later next week.

While not all the movies on the ballot have been released at our local theatres,

moviegoers at Pittsburg 8 say they are enjoying seeing “Into the Woods” and “Unbroken.”

We asked theatre goers if the critic’s nominations impact their decision whether to go out and see a movie or not.

“More definitely, there’s some movies that some people obviously voice their opinions but whenever they get ranked really high I’m like ‘oh I’ll go see that one’ and then most of the time then they are pretty good,” says moviegoer Makenna Billesbach.

Pittsburg resident Emily Bechman says “I usually don’t watch the pictures that are nominated for the best picture. i enjoy the more popular with the crowds movies. so we just came from into the woods so we enjoyed that one. i like guardians of the galaxies so i think it’s nominated for best makeup and costumes so i enjoy those pictures more than the deep ones that make you think.”
