PITTSBURG, Kan. – (WATCH) Pitt State hosts 50+ baseball players for prospect camp Tuesday – including local guys aiming to get their shot at the college level.
“I really would like to go to the next level and play,” says Girard senior Alex Coester, “I want to try to get my name out there today and show the coaches what I can do and hopefully maybe get in contact with some of those guys.”
“I came out here to show my abilities and look for my spot at the next level,” says McDonald County senior Cross Dowd, “Playing in college would mean a lot. That’s been my dream since I was like five years old. It would be awesome.”
“I’ve been hurt, so this is an opportunity to show them what I can actually do,” says Webb City senior Evan Freeman, “I haven’t been able to show my coaches or anybody around what I can actually do.”
Coaches from Pittsburg State, Butler CC, Coffeyville CC and Labette CC were in attendance Tuesday.
