Local medical students put their skills to the test

JOPLIN, Mo. – Students from Columbia and West Central Elementary today met KCU-Joplin medical students for a health screening.

The event is a part of the Score 1 for Health Program.

Officials say the program is an early clinical experience for medical students, who under the supervision of faculty, perform health screenings for area children each year.

KCU-Joplin officials hope its students gain valuable clinical experience in pediatric health assessment while providing an important community service.
