Local church supports Peterson’s Outdoor Ministry that helps veterans
Rallye 66 raises more than $6,000
CARTHAGE, Mo — The First Christian Church of Carthage works to support another ministry.
Sunday it held a car show, races and picnic all to raise funds for the Peterson outdoor ministry. Peterson’s supports wounded veterans, mentally disabled, and terminally ill children through guided fishing and hunting outings.
The Rallye 66 event included multiple races with more than 100 runners as well as a car show and inflatables for the kids.
More than six thousand dollars was raised and will go directly to Peterson ministries. Jude Champagne with First Christian Church said, “We chose to support Peterson Outdoors because of the work they are doing with our veterans. To watch the growth that’s happened with the organization and the ministry itself and to be able to come along side of them to support the work they are doing with wounded combat veterans.”
There was also free food at the event for runners and visitors.
