Lisa Horine, age 54, passed away from a very sudden terminal illness on July 26, 2021, in Joplin, MO.
Lisa is survived by a daughter, Kelsey Williams, of Joplin; five grandchildren, Teiauna, Landon, Keiarah, Lavon, and Muntae, all of Joplin; son, Dakota Williams, of Neosho, MO; a sister, Lori Davis, of Joplin; a niece, Tarra Horine, of Joplin; great nephew’s Kobe and Elijah, and great niece Ashton, all of Joplin; a niece, Traca Reed, of Galena, KS; a great niece, Amanda and great nephew Payton; a niece, Katie Hoyt-Natera; and great nephew Noah. She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Poland Horine, of Sarcoxie, MO;
her father, Gerald F. Horine, of Joplin; brother-in-law, Frank Davis, of Jackson, MS; and sister, Kathy Hoyt, of KS.
Lisa Horine was born on February 20, 1967, in Joplin, to Gerald and Margaret Horine. She graduated from Parkwood High in Joplin, MO. She worked as a Certified Medical Tech and Certified Nurses Aide for 26 years. Her patient’s loved her dearly, as she did them.
Lisa was a wonderful family woman, loving mother, amazing grandmother, sister, and aunt. Lisa was a very social, independent woman who was deeply involved in her family life and her career. She enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers, spending time with her grandkids, family vacations, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.
Her family and friends will always remember her as someone who had a huge heart, who would give the shirt off her back for anyone, strong, and who had to have it her way or the highway.
A service is scheduled for Lisa on July 31, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Ozark Memorial Cemetery in Joplin, MO. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lisa’s life at this time.
