Lions move up to #11 in national rankings
MSSU is 7-1 overall this season
JOPLIN, Mo. — The Missouri Southern Lions are moving up the national rankings.
The Lions are up four spots from #15 to #11 in this week’s NABC national poll.
Missouri Southern has won four straight games to get to 7-1 overall this season. Last week they picked up a blowout win over Pittsburg State on Tuesday, followed by a 90-83 win over Washburn on Saturday. That win over the Ichabods extended the Lions’ home winning streak to 21 games, which is a new program record.
The Lions will be back on the floor next Monday, on the road against Texas A&M-Commerce.
The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats are the only other MIAA team to make the top-25 this week. The defending national champion Bearcats are down three spots from #1 to #4 after suffering their first loss of the season to Central Missouri.
