Members of the group Leadership Miami are helping out a Quapaw man whose house was damaged by the April 27th tornado.

They are replacing windows, siding, and more at Frank Frazier’s home as part of their yearly volunteer project.

“There’s fifteen of us that volunteered to provide the labor to fix the roof, the windows, the siding, and do a small porch for him,” says Chuck Childs of Leadership Miami.

Frazier approves of the efforts of the organization.

“They’ve done precision work,” says Frazier, “Every one of them has worked hard and went out of their way to do good things.”

He says he doesn’t know where he would be without their help.

“My insurance ran out and everything about eight months before that happened. I would have been in a bad situation.”

Members of the group say it’s all about giving back to the community.

They hope the repairs do more than just give Frazier a new home.

“He’s very appreciative of what we’ve done for him,” says Childs, “I’m hoping that this will improve his quality of life.”

“They’ve really been nice to me,” Frazier says, “Every one of them has. Just like a big family.”

The items used by the group were all donated.

They hope to have the house finished by next weekend.
