Weekend storms! Long range forecast. -Doug
Good Friday night! I hope you have all had a fantastic work week and of course. The weather hasn’t been too bad, but it has been hot and humid. At least we have gotten some rain after such a crazy June. I am heading back up to KC tonight to hang with my boy tonight. We are hoping that he can get home on Sunday after another chemo treatment tomorrow. I have a FB page called Christian’s Journey that I have been posting updates on. https://www.facebook.com/groups/555176715178986/
So what about the weather? We will warm up quickly on Saturday morning. However, I am tracking some storms that will drop in mid to late morning.
I think the strongest will stay east of us, but we will have some scattered thunderstorms around. With the clouds and the showers, out temperatures will be tricky. I do think these will pass by and then we will warm up with partly sunny skies by the afternoon. However, mid to late afternoon scattered thunderstorms will develop once again.
Showers and thunderstorms will get going once again. These will be scattered but hit and miss. The ones that get going could be strong to severe. The main threat would be gusty winds at 60 mph and large hail. These scattered thunderstorms will continue through the evening hours and slowly sink south. By mid evening, most of these will be in the southern half of the region.
Most of these storms will pass south by late evening into the overnight hours. Sunday looks pretty good. Cooler highs in the mid to upper 80s but the humidity will be pretty low.
Check out the long range forecast beow.
