Rain rolls back in! Plus, long range forecast. -Doug

I hope everyone has had a great week and has enjoyed the mild temperatures.  Yes, we have had the wind, but the temperatures have been great!  Changes rolling in as we are going to hit a 2 and a half week stretch of more active weather in the Heady Pattern.  This pattern isn’t super active, but we have a few good storms each cycle.  This is usually the week I do the winter forecast.  However, with everything with my son and his emergency surgery this week, I haven’t had a chance yet.  I have watched a full cycle of the pattern and it is an interesting one.  This pattern is funny.  We get two or three systems, then about a 10 days break.  Over and over as the Heady Pattern cycles for the next 10 months.  I haven’t had a chance to fully analyze what I think it will do for the winter months, but will get a chance over the next week.

Clouds will start to increase for us through the morning hours on Friday.  We have a cold front slipping into the area.

Noon Friday

I do think we will go into the mid to upper 60s, but we will get some drizzle and scattered showers develop by afternoon.

Friday Pm

Showers increase through the overnight hours as temperatures drop back to near 50 by Saturday morning.

Early Saturday Morning

Periods of showers and even a few little thunderstorms on Saturday.

Early Saturday Pm

It stay chilly all weekend, but I do think most of the rain will be out of here by midday on Sunday.

I do think we could see some decent rainfall amounts with this first system.  A lot of areas will pick up 1/2″-1″, so isolated 2″ amounts.

Rain right back in with system number two on Monday afternoon.

Even on Tuesday, we could get more thunderstorms.

Have a great Friday and check out my long range forecast below.
