Rain and colder temperatures. -Doug

Good Thursday evening!  I hope your week has been great so far.  It has been a crazy couple of weeks.  We were in Seattle last week with Christian’s T Cell Treatment, this week in KC for chemo.  We have to do some spot radiation about every other day for the next three weeks.  But I am back at the moment and we have rain and cooler temperatures rolling in the next few days.  Showers start picking up for us tonight.  First off, this system isn’t going to produce any strong to severe storms, this is just good old rain.

Showers increase through the overnight hours.

2 Am Tonight

A more persistent rain will pick up by mid morning.

Mid Mornign

Rain continues through the day.  Also, temperatures really go nowhere.  It is just going to be a raw nasty day with highs only around 50.

Mid Afternooon

Showers will start to taper a bit during the overnight hours.  We will still have showers but light showers into Saturday morning.

Tomorrow Night

Temperatures stay chilly into the weekend with still some random showers and Saturday.

Saturday

Rainfall amounts won’t be super heavy, but still I think in the 1/2-1″ range.

Rainfall Amounts

Our next system rolls in late Monday.  We will actually warm up a bit on Monday as we should go a least into the mid 60s.  A strong cold front pushes in on Monday night.  Ahead of the front, we will get some scattered thunderstorms on Monday evening.  Some of these may be a little on the stronger side, so we need to watch those.  Much colder air works in Monday night and Tuesday.  We could even have a rain/snow mix on Tuesday morning.  Kind of crazy.

Down the road:  The week of the 25th the pattern really picks up.  We get into the part of the Heady Pattern that we should get into some severe weather.  Days I am watching right now are Tuesday the 27th, Thursday the 29th and Sunday May 2nd.  Check out my long range forecast below.

Next Friday and Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms back in on Friday.  Some of these could be on the strong side.  But at least we warm back up by the weekend.

April 25th-May 1st: Warm start with showers and thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday.  These could be strong to severe.  Mild temperatures with showers on Wednesday.  Thunderstorms again on Thursday that will be strong to severe.  Fairly nice heading into the weekend.

May 2nd-8th:  Warm with strong to severe storms on Sunday.  Warm and nice through the week and mainly dry until thunderstorms on Friday that will be strong to severe.

May 9th-May 15th:  Mild thunderstorms on Sunday and Monday.  Warming up by the middle of the week with thunderstorms on Wednesday.  Nice the rest of the week with thunderstorms back in for the weekend that could be severe.

May 16th-May 22nd:  Mainly a mild week with thunderstorms on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.  Then again on Thursday and Friday.  We will have chances for severe weather each of those days.
