More rain tonight and cooler temperatures. -Doug

Good Thursday night!  I hope your week has been great so far and we are almost to the weekend.  It has been a pretty active weather week with more showers and thunderstorms for us later tonight.  Also cooler temperatures working in.  Lets break this down.  Hit and miss light showers until late tonight.  Later tonight (after 3) a batch of thunderstorms roll in.  This will mainly be along and south of I-44.

4 Am

A few of these could be strong but I think if there is any severe thunderstorms, they would stay just south of our viewing area.

This batch will quickly push through, but could drop up to 1/2″ of rain in our southern counties.  Leftover light showers during the morning hours.

By afternoon, it looks pretty good.  Breezy and cooler with highs only around 60.  But sun returns late in the day.

Mid Afternoon

High school football looks great weather wise.  But it will be chilly dropping into the 40s by the second half of the games.  Overnight lows Friday night around 40, even some areas into the upper 30s.  Saturday looks great though!

Saturday Pm

Heady Pattern:  The pattern is currently in place and so far I like this pattern.  The upper lows are tracking much closer to us this fall which is always a nice sign for snow during the winter months.  However, from what I have seen so far from this pattern the last 3 weeks or so, spring could have some much bigger events than what we had this past spring.  I will keep you updated on this.  Once we get through this first cycle I will have a really good handle on what to expect.  Usually by November 15th we have gone through a complete cycle and I can give you a very accurate long range forecast.  Long range forecast is below.

October 31st-November 6th: Halloween looks good for now with mild temperatures.  Mild temperatures most of the week with rain chances on toward the weekend.

November 7th-13th:  Mainly mild but rain chances most of the week.  Monday and Tuesday, then again Thursday through Saturday.
